ABOUT WINCENTER

WinCenter is a tiny, handy utility that centers the top-most window on your screen. It's the ideal tool for users who want to perfectly center some or all of their windows.

INSTALLING WINCENTER

Here's how to install WinCenter and set it up for use.

  1. Download the WC1.ZIP file using the hyperlink at the top of this page. Save the download in a folder that you will remember and know how to find.

  2. Open the folder you saved the WC1.ZIP file in.

  3. Use your favorite unzipping utility to extract the ZIP file contents. Put the ZIP file contents into any folder on your hard drive.

  4. Create a shortcut to the WinCenter.exe file (right-click the WinCenter.exe file, then click Create Shortcut).

  5. Move the shortcut to your Desktop (right-click the shortcut, click Cut, then right-click your Desktop, and click Paste).

  6. Choose the hot-key you will use to invoke WinCenter. To do this, right-click the shortcut, then click Properties. Click the Shortcut tab if it's not already open. In the Shortcut Key box, type the key combination you want to use to invoke WinCenter.

  7. Click the OK button.

  8. WinCenter is now installed and ready for use.

USING WINCENTER

WinCenter is a snap to use. Just press the hot-key you assigned whenever a window needs to be centered. WinCenter will instantly reposition the window. Note that WinCenter unloads after every use, so it doesn't hog memory or steal CPU cycles.
